On 12 September 2026, we completed 362 kilometres together at Lake Nussbaumersee and raised CHF 9,200 for Sueniños in Chiapas. Thank you to everyone who ran, donated and helped.
Together with our partner Sueniños, we support children and young people in Chiapas. In July 2026, we visited Sueniños and the planned educational garden in person. Meeting the team and seeing the work on site confirmed our confidence in Sueniños.
With RunToMexico, we are raising funds together with Sueniños for the planned first construction stage of the new educational garden. Children and young people will be able to sow, tend and harvest, take responsibility and experience directly how food, nature and their own actions are connected.
Sueniños supports children and young people in Chiapas through education, personal development and vocational opportunities.

The 300 kilometres at Lake Nussbaumersee are our shared start on the symbolic journey to Mexico. Every kilometre moves us closer to Chiapas on the map – every donation moves the garden project closer to reality.
RunToMexico combines a passion for running with direct social commitment. The association is run on a voluntary basis – personally, transparently and independently.
Our connection to Mexico is also personal. David’s wife Marita comes from the Maya region, and their children have Swiss and Mexican roots. RunToMexico therefore connects not only two places, but also part of our own family story.
